Regional VP, Operations - North Asia

Location: Shanghai
For providing support to customer’s operation/technical requirement, relevant support to sales/customer-service team as required and working/collaborating with all other functions in the company; so as to meet and exceed all operational KPI’s and company goals and objectives.

Key Tasks and Activities:

1 - Inventory Management: 
Ensure accurate and up to date inventory status and data in the system at all time. Managing timely M&R turn time to meet KPI, customer requirement and safety stock numbers. Initiating positioning of equipment as required to balance surplus and shortages, and ensuring all idle equipment comply with the local TAB regulation at all times. 

2 - Depot Management: 
Appointment of appropriate new depots as required at all times to meet current and future business needs, ensuring proper administration process, due diligence, competitive rates and signed agreement. Ongoing management of relevant working relationship with depots, ensuring complete compliance to Seaco policies/procedures and top-notch performance and service from the depot at all times. 

3 - Sales and Customer Support: 
General support to all customers, sales team and customer service team as required. Ensuring relevant customer’s on-hire and off-hire requirement and operational related contractual obligation are met.
4 - Equipment Sales
Support the sales team in all operational aspect of the sales of end-of-life-equipment, including timely repair of cargo-worthy units and arrangement pickup requirements.
5 - Cost Management: 
Ensuring all associated operation cost are reviewed for appropriateness and competitiveness. Proper approvals of team expenses both direct and in-direct cost to be observed. Timely turnaround of damage equipment in depots, accuracy of repair estimates and quality of repairs carried out must be attained at all times. Review and maximise cost effectiveness including reducing stock where appropriate in high cost location.

6 - Quality of equipment
Manage all depot operational services including accurate repair estimates and quality of repair at all times.
7 - Positioning of equipment: 
Manage the positioning of equipment from surplus to shortage/required location in a timely and cost-effective manner. Review inventory status and to initiate positioning as required. Positioning could be via paid freight or one-way-use.
8 - Management of regional ops team: 
To manage all direct reports accordingly, supervising and mentoring their performances, providing and arranging training as required. To motivate the team appropriately so as to ensure maximum effectiveness to meet goals and objectives.
9 - To work and to support the Global operations and EMS team as required. Including implementation of new procedure/policies, relate projects or assignments, actions/process to achieve KPIs. etc. 

10 - To work with and to support all other functions as required. 

11 - All operational related matters as assigned by VP Operations.
