Regional Marketing Director, Northern Europe

Location: Hamburg
This role is ultimately responsible for creation and implementation of individual customer plans as required and to facilitate management and personal development needs of the regional commercial team.
Agree objectives with the regional commercial team in line with the guidance provided by the RVP EMEIA as part of the management process of the commercial team.

Key Tasks and Activities:

  • Managing the sales management process in the designated territories through the country/region heads.
  • To performance manage all direct reports so that they meet or exceed agreed targets.
  • Develop strong and profitable multi-level business relationships with all personally allocated key customer accounts, existing and potential, within the designated territories. This includes developing customer strategies; implementing product strategies; performing all contract related activities including proposals and language negotiations for commercial, business and legal terms.
  • To drive Container sales customer segmentation further towards higher margin customers.
  • Identify value add services within container sales activities to improve margins.
  • Provide thorough and timely follow up when dealing with customers, corporate and regional offices. This involves accurate and timely information when communicating lease or contractual specifics results to appropriate support department (regional and corporate).
  • Maintain active lease contracts.
  • Develop yearly revenue budgets with stretch goals.
  • Maintain accurate and current individual account files.
  • Provide required monthly Marketing reports on a timely basis.
  • Provide periodic equipment throughput forecasts and market condition reports for assigned territory; provide input for allocation of equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining consistent accounts receivable performance with assigned accounts as needed.
  • Assist Product Group with specific market development and customer strategies as required.
  • Provide credit department with periodic customer performance updates as required.
  • Manage travel and entertainment budget for territory.
  • Provide any information on competition activity.
  • Maintain and improve utilisation of all containers in the long term and reduce depot stock with innovative and profitable solutions.
  • Ensure that the Seaco brand is built so that it becomes the bell weather for the industry in customer service, product and leasing offerings and in its quality of customer relationships.
