Human Resources Director

Location: London

Key Tasks and Activities:

  • Ensure compliant running of the HR function in all territories/ offices (17/20)
  • Recruitment of employees for new and existing vacant positions through internal and external advertising, and the use of head-hunters and agencies
  • Job design of all changed and new positions with the functional heads
  • To act as an advisor to the CEO on all people related matters
  • To design and update all reward programs, covering salary reviews, bonuses, short- and long-term retention schemes
  • To ensure that reward is comparable and competition to retain and recruit the correct calibre of employees
  • To maintain the appropriate benefits in each country with annual negotiation with suppliers (Healthcare, Insurance, Pension, 401K etc)
  • To keep a careful ‘hand on the pulse ‘of the organisational culture across the world by means of annual or sporadic EES
  • To design and maintain all HR policies around the world, including the updating and redrafting of all job descriptions, contracts, and regional / country handbooks
  • To ensure compliance in the above
  • To manage the HR and Marcomms budgets (total annual spend $2.1M)
  • To supervise certain Marcomms activity, including the internal newsletter, CEO communications and any external PR messages that Seaco decides to issue. This includes content management of both the Intranet (the Hub, DMS) and Internet sites maintained by the company
  • To help supervise the consistency of brand image across the world
  • To manage all the global office leases and to be aware of our exposure at all times
  • To design and develop training and development interventions for global, individual or country/function-based groups
  • To act as a source of advice to the management team members in relation to people matters
  • To actively manage and improve our HRIS (SAP) so that we evolve into a full ‘self-service’ provision of HR information
  • To provide to the finance function all people centric costs and budgets for all departments/ locations
  • To design and organise the annual management conference and adhoc company meetings
  • To annually (or when required) report to the board on HR matters
  • Responsibility for design and maintenance of performance management system across the company
  • To be proactive in spotting global employment trends and protect the company against negative market forces. (Great resignation etc, trends in working practices)
  • To create and manager supplier lists of recruiters and legal advisors globally
  • To supervise the CSR program and to lead the main activity in SE Asia
  • To work with FPA to construct and complete the annual Comp and Ben budget globally
